Nehawu to march to the Department of Higher Education

The National Education Health and Allied Workers Union will today be marching to the offices of the Department of Higher Education to demand that the department address the crisis situation in the sector. 

Nehawu Spokesperson Sizwe Pamla said the march will also include protesting against the union bashing by the department. 

Pamla added that for quite some time now they have been trying to engage with the department because they are unhappy with the attitude towards the union.

“The management led by the director general has been very hostile to the union. They have connived with Colleges to stall the government initiated process of moving FET colleges to the department.” Pamla said.
