Three people died and 113 injured in Nelspruit accident

An accident this morning outside Nelspruit has left two
people dead and 113 injured.
It is believed that a bus crashed into a ditch and a
second vehicle was also involved in the accident.
ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said Paramedics found two critically injured people in the bus, but sadly both of them succumbed to their injuries while paramedics were busy working on them.
Vermaak added that at this stage it appears that majority
of the patients sustained several fractures, lacerations and other injuries.
“The ER24 Department of Health in Mpumalanga medical
helicopter landed on the scene to airlift one of the injured patients. The
patients will be transported to various hospitals in the area.
Family members also started arriving on the scene while
paramedics and rescue services were busy with patients.” Vermaak said.
The exact details of the cause of the accident will
remain the subject of a police investigation.
