The South African Communist Party in the Western Cape said it is outraged for the murder of three police officers in Nyanga and Mfuleni on Monday.

SACP Provincial Spokesperson Masonwabe Sokoyi said it is clear that these ruthless criminals are a danger to our society.

SACP has also called on Popcru to intensify anti-crime and sector campaigning.

“We are also concerned as SACP that if police officers can be killed in a community by the same people that they are trying to protect, I think this is a call for a concern.

I think communities must play a role in ensuring that they act in defence of police because police are on duty to ensure communities are safe,” Sokoyi added
