Body of 29-year-old man from Albertinia recovered

The body of the 29-year-old man who went missing on Sunday while Swimming in Stillbaai has been recovered. 

National Sea Rescue Institute Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the man from Albertinia reportedly disappeared under water while swimming and is suspected to have been caught in rip currents.

Lambinon said NSRI volunteers assisted the police divers to recover the body from the water.

“The body was handed over to the Forensic Pathology Services and police have opened an inquest docket” Lambinon added.
