The Western Cape MEC of
Community Safety, Dan Plato, together with officials from the Department of
Community Safety, will continue with awareness outreach engagements on the
various youth safety partnerships available, this time in Parkwood today.
Plato said we cannot allow a
generation of youth to miss out on existing opportunities, both from the public
and private sector, which will empower them to improve their own lives and the
lives of their families.
Spokesperson Ewald Botha said
the MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato will today spend the day as part of the
community outreach, engaging with various N.G.O’s, the religious fraternity to
discuss what various types of these opportunities available within the
department of Community Safety and some other programs within the Western Cape
government as well.
“Engagements we have with the
youth specifically on the various opportunities of which the Northlink Bursary and
the Chrysalis Academy offer for them” Botha added.
