Five suspects arrested for business robbery

Five suspects aged between 22 and 25-years-old have been arrested in connection with a business robbery in Zonkezizwe yesterday.

The police’s Wilfred Kgasago said five men, two of them wielding firearms, stormed into the Rebirth supermarket and robbed the business of cash, cigarettes and airtime vouchers.

Kgasago said the employees about four of them were assaulted badly fortunately we got word of the robbery and the description of the vehicle and our vice went out and within 30 minutes we found the suspects.

“We were able to retrieve all the stolen items and we also managed to recover firearms and ammunition. The suspects are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon” Kgasago added.
