One woman and a 25-year-old man died after their vehicles overturned

A woman was killed and three other occupants of a vehicle sustained several injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on Wedela Road in Carletonville this morning.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicle still lying on its roof.

The woman was found a couple of metres away from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing they could do for her.

She was declared dead on scene.

Three other occupants of the scene were treated on scene before transported to various hospitals for further medical treatment.

The exact cause of the accident is unknown, authorities were on scene for further investigations.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man was killed during the early hours of the morning when his vehicle overturned on Delfos Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.

ER2 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paramedics arrived on the scene, still found the man trapped underneath his vehicle.

Local fire services assisted on the scene and once paramedics could gain access to the patient, they found that he sustained multiple fatal injuries.

He was declared dead on the scene. It is understood that he was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time and ejected during the rollover

The exact cause of the accident is unknown, authorities were on scene for further investigations
