Bakkie incident leaves 12 people injured Pietermaritzburg

ER24 paramedics responded to an incident scene this morning after a bakkie overturned leaving 12 people injured in Edendale Road in Taylors Halt, in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the bakkie in a veld.

Bodasing added the patients, one man and 11 women, were lying all over. The patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

She also said that they were treated and transported to the Northdale and Greys hospitals for further medical care.

The exact details to the cause of the incident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
