The Road Traffic Management Corporation has condemned the on-going killing of law enforcement officials and calls on communities to take a stand in ensuring the speedy arrest of perpetrators.

In the past week, four members of the South African Police Service died in the hands of criminals.

A member of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department was killed at a shopping complex during an armed robbery.

RTMC CEO Makhosini Msibi warned criminals that they will not succeed in their attempts to create lawlessness in society.

RTMC’s Simon Zwane says, “ the things that  have been happening recently having involved members of SAPS and traffic officials. This is an attack on society itself.

Zwane added that, “Members of the community must stand up and defend our police officers and assist the police to arrest those people who are perpetrating these kinds of actions”
