Man Killed after being hit by vehicle

A man in his 60’s was killed this morning after he was hit by a light motor vehicle on the Main road in Madameni, outside of Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring reported, when ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found the patient being loaded into a light motor vehicle by members of the public.

Paramedics took over from the members of the public and began their assessment of the patient.

On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained multiple fatal injuries.

Unfortunately nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations Meiring concluded.
