The African National Congress in
the Western Cape says it plans to accelerate housing delivery in the Cape Town
Metro if elected to govern.
The party went on a door-to-door blitz in
Nyanga yesterday where it introduced its ward candidate for the elections.
ANC provincial secretary Faiez
Jacobs claims the housing delivery rate has dropped dramatically since the
Democratic Alliance took control of the city in 2006.
NEC Member and ANC Head of
organizing and campaigns Cde Fikile Mbalula, along with ANC Mayoral Candidate
for the City of Cape Town Cde. Xolani Sotashe, and the ANC Provincial
Leadership, will lead elections campaign in the Dullah Omar Region, Western
Cape Province today.
