IEC Special votes closes today

The Independent Electoral Commission says special votes applications are running smoothly and efficiently.

Western Cape IEC media liaison Trevor Davids says today is the last day for special votes.

Davids says “Special votes for those that will be working on the election day, the 3^rd of August can also apply for special vote, and they will be allowed to vote at the voting station where they registered, that would be on the 1^st and 2^nd August.

He adds that “There has been a positive response to the call for special votes, at this stage we do not have the exact number of people who have registered for special votes.”
