Public Transport Voice condemns brutal murder of a train driver

The Public Transport Voice say they
express their deepest condolences to the Pieter Barend Botha family.
The Passenger Rail Authority of South
Africa train driver who was shot down in Netreg yesterday.
Public Transport Voices spokesperson
Dalton Ndongeni says they call on authorities to ensure and prioritise the
safety of the workers.
He says they also need the community to
come up front with the information that can help the police to arrest the
suspects who did the cruel act.
He says that “And we also condone “indaba”
(the act) of violence.
Metro Rail will deploy more security in
order to protect “ababantu bazi train drivers” (the people who work as train drivers). He concluded.
