Police are requesting the help of the public as they are searching for two male suspects who are sought for murder and escaping from police custody.
The two were arrested August 8 2007, for a double murder that occurred in Delft on 24 May last year. 17-year-old Simthebred Ntengento and 20-year-old Unathi Mavuduka were found murdered in Leiden, Delft by passers-by.
“Their bodies were found partially clothed (only underwear), hands tied behind their backs and single bullet wounds to their heads. The investigation into murder case has led to the arrest of the two suspects,” says police spokesperson Billy Jones.
Jones says 34-year-old Raymond Hendriks and 28-year-old Deodath Adams escaped from the Bellville Magistrates court cells on Tuesday before they were scheduled to appear in court.
“An internal disciplinary investigation of negligence have instituted against two identified police members at the Bellville court in this regard,” says Jones.
Raymond Hendriks (alias Mafunza) - pictured on the top right - who is described as dark of complexion, 1.5 metres tall, medium built, has short black hair and brown eyes and Deodath Adams (alias Angel) - pictured on the left - who is described as dark of complexion, 1.7 metres tall, slender built, has short black hair and brown eyes.
