UDM Youth Vanguard responds to ANCYL’s comments

The United Democratic Youth Vanguard says the declaration taken at the ANC’s National Conference to disband the Scorpions should not be allowed.

Provincial Secretary of the UDM Youth Vanguard, Vevile Yayi says this decision is a classical example of how the ANC abuses its majority in parliament to change laws within the country.

“The UDM youth in the Western Cape believes that the ANC Youth League is actually misguided in their support for the disbandment of the Scorpions.

The ANC youth league failed to defend constitutional institutions in the country seen that they are the future leaders of South Africa,” says Yayi.

He said the ANCYL is rather ‘cheerleaders’ for all the wrong decisions the ANC takes instead of advancing institutions like the Scorpions.

“Zizi Kodwa must first get his own house in order before criticising General Bantu Holomisa calling him a political toddler. He should look no further, Jacob Zuma, Jackie Selebi, Toni Yengeni and many ANC parliamentarians who defrauded parliament are fully aware of the successes of the Scorpions,” adds Yayi

The ANCYL’s Zizi Kodwa could not be reached for comment.
