Travellers and holidaymakers coming Cape Town over the festive season can rest assured that the quality of the sea water.
This includes all areas around the coast is of a high standard.
Quality tests are carried out twice a month to ensure a pleasant recreational environment.
The City’s Director of Roads and Storm Water Henry du Plessis says that while the water is safe, bathers are asked to avoid possible pollution risk areas such as the vicinity of storm water pipe outfalls.
The City has seven Blue Flag beaches which assures bathers of a safe environment.
The beaches that have this accreditation are Big Bay in Bloubergstrand, Clifton Fourth Beach, Camps Bay, Muizenberg, Strandfontein Beach, Mnandi Beach, and Bikini Beach in Gordon's Bay.
