A series of events and protests will be held across the world today to mark the Global Day of Action on climate change.
Thousands of protesters are set to take to the streets of Copenhagen, where the UN summit on global warming is taking place.
The cathedral on Copenhagen’s Cathedral Square will then lead churches around the world in tolling their bells 350 times to mark the safe limit of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, 350 parts per million, to avoid dangerous climate change.
In Australia up to 90-thousand environmental campaigners turned out for the Walk Against Warming rallies in the nation's capital cities and regional centres today.
