Police are searching for an 18 year old man who allegedly stabbed and killed his mother in Bothasig.
The body of a 54 year old woman was discovered by his husband in their home last night.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Andre Traut says the body was lying in a pool of blood.
The deceased was stabbed several times.
Traut says at the stage they are looking for her son who might be responsible for the incident.
