A 25 year old woman was left in a critical condition at the Lagoon Beach in Milnerton this morning after allegedly being assaulted by her boyfriend.
Police say it is allegedly that the incident happened after an argument erupted between the couple at a nearby restaurant, shortly after 09am.
Inspector Dephney Dell says the victim was stabbed three times and she was rushed to hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the man ran towards the Lighthouse Beach where he allegedly to have drowned.
“The National Sea Rescue Institute started the search for the missing man at the beach,” said Inspector Dell.
