The City will conduct a series of pressure tests on the main water supply line feeding the Delft area today.
The test are being conducted in preparation of a new pressure management installation on the 20th of this month.
The testing will begin at 21h30 and is expected to last for an hour.
“Consumers may experience fluctuations in supply pressure during this period. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time,” says the City’s Farouk Robertson.
“This project forms part of the City’s Water Demand Management Plan which entails the installation of a range of pressure management mechanisms on its water reticulation system across the Metropole. These mechanisms will ultimately reduce infrastructure costs that result from leakage and burst pipes caused by high pressure when the water demand on the reticulation system is low,” Robertson concluded.
