Three suspects alleged to be involved in a business robbery which took place yesterday evening in Browns Farm have been arrested.
Police spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi says police followed information and arrested three suspects in the Browns Farm area.
“The suspects allegedly robbed airtime, cigarettes and cash from a spaza shop in Browns Farm.
“Two men were stabbed and one was shot on his upper body. Two victims are still in hospital and one was discharged, said Sitshitshi.
Sitshitshi added that police have confiscated an illegal firearm with its serial number filed off, live rounds, airtime and 8 cell-phones; two of the cell phones belong to the victims.
Some of the suspects are also wanted for murder in four cases of Milnerton.
They will appear in Athlone Magistrate Court on 13 May 2010 on three charges of Attempted Murder and Business Robbery.
