Twenty-four people were injured when two trucks collided on the R44 opposite the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West, Tuesday morning.
One truck was transporting 48 people to work when they collided with another. Twenty of the injured were farm workers.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
“The truck is going to be taken to the weighbridge at the traffic department where an investigation will be done. And after that we will be able to see whether we will open a case, or whether it will stay as an accident report,” Somerset West police’s Susan Jantjies said.
