A massive search has been launched for a six-week-old baby boy who was snatched by a woman at the Khayelitsha Day Hospital in Cape Town.
Simamkele Baleni’s mother took him to the hospital for his regular check up when she was approached by a woman to hold her baby on her way to the toilet.
The suspect allegedly mentioned that the hospital's facilities were very dirty.
When she returned five minutes later from the toilet, the woman and the baby was missing.
The suspect is about 40-years-old and medium build. She has shoulder length braided hair and are light of complexion.
Captain Anneke van der Vyver said,” The Khayelitsha Investigating police unit covered all public facilities and garages distributing information of the suspect. The hospitals camera's and nearby facilities have been investigated. ”
“A massive search is on the way and we are urging the public to assist us in finding Simamkele Baleni,” she said.
The suspect is still at large with the baby.

Its true that the hospital is not clean at all, The smell of urine when u enter at the door is not good. Last year a 20year old lady was arrested for stealing a phone inside the hospital.
