Western Cape police confirmed today that more arrests are in sight in connection with the killing of a Philippi East constable.

Xoliswa Banga was gunned down in a police van last Friday while he was on duty.

It has been the first police murder in the Western Cape for 2012.

So far police have arrested three people in connection with the murder.

At the moment police are following up all leads to arrest the other suspects.

The police’s November Filander said the investigation into the murder of their colleague continues.

He added that one of the suspects is a juvenile and will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court later.

The other two men will appear in court tomorrow.
