Police are seeking the public’s assistance with a murder investigation. Late Wednesday afternoon police found the body of a 55 year old female with stab wounds to her head and neck, lying at the entrance to the lounge. On further investigation, police found the 85 year old mother with a serious stab wound to the head on the lounge floor. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition. A male in his twenties was allegedly seen running from the scene of the crime. Police spokesperson Randall Stoffell’s says the motive for the murder is not yet known.
