Scorpions pursue charges against ANC Youth League leader
The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that it is pursuing incitement charges against the leader of the ANC Youth League Zizi Kodwa. This follows a report in today’s Sowetan newspaper stating that Kodwa had told a crowd outside the Johannesburg High Court yesterday that they should, as he put it, “hit dogs very hard to force their owner and handler to come out in the open”. The NPA’s Makhosini Nkosi said Kodwa had reportedly told the crowd to hit the National Director of Public Prosecutions and head of the NPA, Vusi Pikoli, and other individuals. Nkosi says they regard the statements as incitement and hate speech.
