Policeman wounded in shooting
A 26-year-old Cape Town police constable is in a stable condition in hospital after two men fired several shots at him on Friday. The police’s Elliot Sinyangana says the constable was on duty and was driving a police vehicle in Wallacedene in Kraaifontein when he was hit in the neck and shoulder. Sinyangana says more information cannot be divulged at this stage because the suspects are still at large. The motive for the attack is still unknown, but a case of attempted murder is being investigated.
