Former gang leader faces murder charges

Rashied Staggie a former gang leader on the Cape Flats has been charged with murder. Staggie, who is currently serving a 13-year sentence in jail for rape, has allegedly ordered a hit on a man who was involved in the killing of his twin bother Rashaad Staggie. The former Hard Livings gang leader ‘s murder charge was brought against him after a fellow gang member gave a statement to the police. According to the Cape Argus Francisco Flandorp and Ricardo Arendse were ordered to kill Faizel Ryklief, but instead killed his son also named Faizel Ryklief. Billy Jones police spokesperson reports that ‘a suspect’ had appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court.
