Horror accident claims eleven lives in Durban
A full investigation has been launched into the accident in Durban in which eleven people lost their lives on Thursday. Police say the victims burnt to death as a taxi smashed into a truck in Isipingo. Both vehicles were in the process of crossing a traffic intersection. A spokesperson said it was difficult to establish who was to blame for the accident as the one traffic light was amber and the other red. Four passengers managed to escape from the burning taxi by kicking out the back window. The driver also managed to escape. The truck driver apparently fled the scene.
