Today the Minister of Social Services and Poverty Alleviation, Koleka Mqulwana, accompanied by Western Cape Premier, Ebrahim Rasool, launched the Siyabulela campaign that plans to employ a thousand unemployed and poor young people to be trained in drug and substance abuse intervention mechanisms. Various groups from the local areas in Cape Town entertained the youth. Ebrahim uttered some encouraging words by commemorating the youth of 1976 and what they accomplished. Mqulwana spoke about the social issues affecting the youth to use drugs and substance abuse. The message delivered to the youth acknowledged that “Drugs is killing our nation! Killing our children!”
