SA ready for the 2010 Soccer World Cup
It’s all systems go for the 2010 Soccer World Cup to be held in South Africa, with 75 percent of all Fifa contracts for this sporting spectacle having been signed and sealed. This was revealed by chief executive of the Fifa 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee, Danny Jordaan, during a media briefing in Durban. Jordaan was speaking after meeting the city’s authorities as part of the 2010 Fifa World Cup Host Cities Forum. An upbeat Jordaan promised that Africa would produce what he termed to be the best World Cup ever as far as revenue was concerned.
