Abalone seized on the Cape Peninsula

Abalone to the value of R400 000 was seized by police on Wednesday morning.The bags contained 1660 abalone units after 16 large bags were taken hold of.
The members of the Table View police received information from the public. A man was detained immediately in the vicinity; he was questioned but could not be linked to the abalone.
However he was charged with the possession of dagga and released on bail. The investigation surrounding the abalone that was seized still continues.
