A two-month-old toddler and two children died in two separate incidents in Nyanga over the weekend. The infant was thrown back and forth by his parents who were believed to be drunk.
Captain Elliot Sinyangana told the Cape Times that the couple allegedly had an argument and threw the baby around. The baby boy had several injuries and bruises and the paramedics arrived on the scene to find the baby already dead.
Another incident that evening five-year-old Yamkelani Kokola and her aunt Nolubabalo Kokola 15 were fatally wounded in their home in Nyanga.
Two armed men were looking for the children’s uncle at roughly 11-o-clock the evening. The children told the men that the uncle was not home and in return shot them and fled the scene. The gunmen were known to the children said Sinyangana.
