A 19-year old man will appear in George magistrate court for allegedly stabbing his father to death.
The 44-year old father had attempted to prevent a fight between the man and his girlfriend.
Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie said that the man stabbed his father with a broken bottle neck.
He died on the scene.
The man had allegedly stabbed his girlfriend twice, in the chest and in the head before stabbing his father.
The incident happened on Saturday at about 20:30.
He was arrested and would be appearing in court on Tuesday.
