Cape Town police have called on people residing in the Cape Peninsula, who have been robbed by the so-called ‘driveway gang’, to come forward and identify their belongings.
This after local police nabbed the gang — 12 men and one woman — all from the Grassy Park area. The suspects are linked to about 20 cases of robberies, committed across the city.
The police’s Superintendent Billy Jones says that items such as handbags, watches, jewellery, laptops, cell phones and bank cards had been found. People who can positively identify their property should contact the police as soon as possible.
Items will be on display in room 257 at the old SARS building in Bellville, from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday and Friday (9 and 10 November).
Alternatively call Detective Esmareld Bailey on 918 3423.
