Livestock pose a threat to residents

Livestock in Cape Town's residential areas have become a problem for some residents. Not only does the livestock pose a health hazard, but the animals are a danger to motorists.
A number of accidents have occurred on busy roads such as the N2 between the airport turnoff and Khayelitsha, the R300 in the Delft/Wesbank area, Baden Powell Drive near Khayelitsha and on the main roads inside residential areas such as Gugulethu, Nyanga and Philippi, this according to a weekend paper.
Safety and Security Mayco member Bongani Maqungwana they were planning to bring other stakeholders on board, including the farmers, to work out a consolidated plan that would be sustainable.
