  • Imperial Primary School in Beacon Valley, Mitchell’s Plain will be having their 10th annual Beacon Fun Run on Saturday. There will be a 5km and 10km fun run or walk. The race starts at 8h00 the morning and there will be a lucky draw starting from 10h00. Anyone interested in participating should contact the school on 021 376 1105.
  • The SA Psoriasis Association will hold a meeting at the Pinelands Municipal Hall on Thursday 22nd March at 20h00. Dr Dagmar Whitaker (Dermatologist) will speak to us on the current trends of Psoriasis Treatment and also Biologicals. Entrance and refreshments are free. All sufferers and family are welcome.   • Trade unionists are hosting Cape Town’s second labour Film Festival to be held on Wednesday and Thursday April 18 and 19, at SACTWU Hall, Industria House, 350 Victoria Road, Salt River from 6pm to 9pm, and at Community House, Salt River Road on Friday April 20th.   • The Oaks of Righteousness, a registered NGO, is running its free after school programme for youth between the ages of 11 and 18 again this year. The programme offers homework assistance, soccer, baseball, netball, volleyball, drama, dancing, arts and crafts and awareness programmes on HIV/Aids and substance abuse.
