Kraafontein taxi driver gunned down

Another taxi driver was gunned down in Kraafontien in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The body of 42-year-old Xolile Mbanyarhu was found by police inside his vehicle in Bharu Street, Wallacedene.

“It is alleged that the victim was approached by unknown gunmen who fired three shots wounding him in the chest and head”, says police spokesperson Randall Stoffels

“The deceased was identified by family members on the scene”, says Stoffels.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident is being investigated.
