The parents of eight-year-old Candice Kasper from Kraaifontein, who disappeared from her home on Saturday, have been arrested.
Sophia and Frederick Kasper were charged by the Family Violence, Child and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), they both face charges of child negligence as well as child abuse.
According to reports Candice was under the influence of alcohol when she disappeared from her home.
“We appeal to all parents and legal guardians of children to be extra cautious about the whereabouts of their children,” says police spokesperson Elliot Sinyangana.
“Candice was found unharmed on Wednesday at the Cravenby Care Centre in Ravenmead,” says Sinyangana.
Sophia and Frederick Kasper will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 13 July.
