A number of suspended Metro Police officers have increased from 87 to 95 members after their unlawful industrial action of Wednesday morning.
“We are still busy with all the investigation of the event and we have suspended 95 members,” says head of communications in the City of Cape Town Pieter Cronje.
“Obvious there is a lot of investigation that must be done to make sure that we have all the facts,” adds Cronje.
Cronje says the City doesn’t want to drag its feet into the process and they believe that this must be dealt speedy.
“We will follow the due process and make sure of our facts,” says Cronje.
