The family of Amanda Ndika is searching for her after she left the family home in Gugulethu on Saturday, September 1.
“We believe Amanda is in Phillipi with friends, but she refuses to talk to us. As her mother I am extremely concerned because her 14-month-old baby cries all the time, calling her name,” says Fikiswa Ndika.
Amanda’s sister Lebo Ndika says that Amanda phoned her last Wednesday from a public telephone saying she is ‘fine’ but did not want to say more then that or where she was.
“She has done this before when the baby was 1-year-old, but she only stayed away for a week. It’s just difficult because she might find herself in danger and she has a responsibility towards her baby daughter, “says Lebo.
Amanda is tall and slender, with black hair and may be wearing a black leather jacket.
Anyone with information can contact Fikiswa on 074 338 7098 or Lebo on 074 431 1559.
