The PUK Rugby Institute will return to Stellenbosch this week, to defend its National Club Championship title, won at the venue last year. The 2007 tournament will get underway at Coetzenburg on Sunday 9 September 2007.
“Matches will take place on Tuesday and Friday as well as the final next week Saturday,” says BMT Sports Solutions’, Anthony Mackaiser.
The tournament features the champion clubs from the 14 South African Rugby Union (SARU) Provinces, as well as two additional clubs invited by SARU.
“There are another four teams that will contest among themselves. They have come through from the Easter tournament that happened earlier this year, “ says
The defending champions Pukke, from Potchefstroom, will be there to defend their title.
“Two of the Cape Town sides that will be participating are Maties and SK Walmers,” says Mackaiser.
A whole week full of top club rugby action is expected.
