Gauteng police said on Monday that a Nigerian man was arrested for dealing in drugs with an estimated street value of R1,26-million.
"The man was arrested on October 5 after an intensive follow-up by both the Vaal Rand organised crime and intelligence units,” says Captain William Mcera.
Mcera also says that the suspect was found in possession of three kilograms of cocaine and one kilogram of cocaine rocks with an estimated street value of R1,26-million.
The vehicle which the man used to transport the drugs was also confiscated by police.
"This arrest is one of the biggest ever made in the Vaal and we hope it will send a serious message to drug dealers in the area that there is no place to hide, as communities are concerned about the circulation of drugs destroying the youth in the country," said Mcera.
