Six men robbed a shop in Mitchell’s Plain with a firearm this morning, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money and stolen goods.
According to police the men threatened the manager and the staff of the shop with the firearm demanding entry to the shop. Upon entry the men requested the safe keys from the manager of the store took an undisclosed amount of cash and when they exited the shop took the staff’s cell phones and the manager’s car keys.
“The suspects fled the scene with the manager’s Toyota RunX, no shots were fired and nobody sustained any physical injuries,” says police spokesperson Constable Siphokazi Mawisa.
The suspects are still at large.
