The Conference for a People’s Cape Town held on Saturday at the Gugulethu Sports Complex was a resounding success. The conference in aid of poor and working people living in Cape Town was convened by the South African Communist Party.

The conference was attended by 120 delegates, organisations, unions, and churches across the Cape.

“We have decided that we are going to roll out a programme of campaigns for quality public services in the city of Cape Town as well as the Western Cape Province.

We are confident that through this programme, we are going to bring about better quality services especially for the working people and the poor of Cape Town,” says District secretary of SACP, Luthando Nogcinisa.
