Tomorrow morning two suspects, a male and a female will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate court on charges of attempted vehicle theft and two counts of serious assault.
The arrests follow after the suspects attempted to steal a motor vehicle which was parked on the main road in Claremont.
“The owner of the vehicle chased after and caught the male suspect in a certain yard whereby the owner of the yard heard the noise, tried to assist the complaint but in the process was stabbed with a sharp object in the left cheek,” says Police spokesperson, Captain Elliot Sinyangana.
The suspect’s girlfriend then attacked the vehicle owner with a bottle to his head and as a result they both ran away but were later seized by police on Friday evening in Claremont.
