On Sunday Transport and Public Works Minister Marius Fransman and Agriculture Minister Cobus Dowry will visit survivors of the bus crash that left nine people dead in Piketberg.
“On Friday night the bus was taking 42 agricultural workers back to their homes when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, says Transport spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila.
The eight victims all died at the scene, while the injured are being treated at the Radie Kotze hospital.
According to Ntabazalila the two Ministers will first be briefed about the accident by Disaster Management officers at the municipal offices in Piketberg, go to the scene of the accident and then visit the survivors at the Piketberg Hospital.
