Provincial Government has contributed a total of R50 000 from the ministry of Transport and Public works, ministry of Agriculture, the Premier’s office and Social Development as a contribution towards the Piketberg bus accident.
MEC for Transport and Public works Marius Fransman and MEC for Agriculture Cobus Dowry visited Piketberg yesterday on behalf of the Provincial cabinet following the death of ten farmworkers.
“Both MEC’s contributed R10 000 each. The Premier’s office will donate a further R20 000 and the Department of Social Development will contribute R10 000, bringing the total to R50 000," says Spokesperson of the Premier of Western Cape, Shado Twala.
