Eight suspects were arrested for illegal possession of Firearms and Ammunition and Possession of Drugs early yesterday morning.
The arrests follow after police carried out a search at a house in Coronado Street, Delft.
“Several items were confiscated in the house including six firearms, ammunition, 49 mandrax tablets to the value of R1000, 22 bags of tik and R200 000 in cash,” says Police spokesperson Inspector Bernadine Steyn.
The four females, aged between 19 and 33 years, and the four males aged between 15 and 30 are expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
