Nyanga police are requesting the public’s assistance in finding a missing three-year-old boy from Brown’s Farm.

Thapelo Sifuba was playing in the road a few meters from his home, when he was seen leaving with a unknown woman.

Police spokesperson Captain Ellliot Sinyanga says it appears that the boy’s mother was busy in her house when the neighbour’s child came to report that an old lady took Thapelo by hand and walked with him towards New Cross roads direction.

“It is alleged that she and the neighbours embarked on a wild search hoping to find Thapelo still within the neighbourhood,” says Sinyangana.

The 39-year-old mother then went to report the matter to the police where a case of kidnapping was registered.

Thapelo has joined a number of children that has gone missing in the Western Cape in recent months.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Inspector Paul Moss at the Nyanga Police Station on (021) 376 9200 or call CrimeStop on 08600 10 111.
